I was admiring these new Prairie Moon designs recently, and I am afraid that I gave in to the temptation and ordered both of the Halloween stockings! Unfortunately the chart does not give detailed instructions for finishing the stocking, but it might not be too hard to assemble I'm thinking. What is it about Halloweeen designs anyway? My favorites are by Birds of a Feather, but I think Prairie Moon has some great primitive designs as well!
Along with my order I also received the set of designs that makes up the "My Town" freebies that were given out at Market. Mine are on a CD, and I can print those that I want. So far I have only printed a couple. I don't think I will attempt to stitch them all together on one piece of linen, and as a matter of fact I think I will just stitch those that really appeal to me. They seem to be of close but varying sizes. I really like the Shepherds Bush design--the Honey Shop--no big surprise since I love bee motifs!
I also managed to get some serious stitching on my friend's birthday gift. That is a huge relief for me! I really needed a chunk of time to get that backstitching done. I will need to backstitch around the project itself for the finishing, but this other stitching was quite frustrating. Sometimes when you only have limited stitching opportunities, and you make no progress it makes the project seem more of a burden than a pleasure. Now I have about a zillion smyrnas to stitch on it. Okay--a bit of an exaggeration there, but it feels like it!! I will take this to work with me, plus one other--now to decide which!
Ooh Danielle, the Honey Shop by SB sounds wonderful, any chance of printing a picture on your blog please?

I too love Shepherd's Bush and especially the ones with bees and bee hives. I can't seem to find Honey Shop but would love to see it. I used to only live about 125 miles from Shepherd's Bush but never knew they existed until we moved to Texas and I saw them on the internet. So disappointing to not have been able to visit their shop. Oh well I am glad to be able to see needlecrafts now from all over the world with my computer!

Love those stockings you ordered. Reminds me now that I started one of those BOAF stockings a while back, now I really need to finish it.
