Sorry this is out of focus--I guess I got a little too close to the linen. I'm always so happy when I make a little progress. Last night I stitched the 'L' through the 'N' (going left to right) and then started on the outer border only to discover that I am one thread off. There is an extra thread between the 'E' and the 'L'! From the first stitch I messed up. Now of course no one would know that unless I tell them. But I know it and I am sure it will bother me. I guess now I will be ripping and stitching it over again. And as you can see I've made no decisions about what to do with the face. I'll just keep working and see how it goes. Many thanks for the suggestions, however. They'll come in handy when I decide what to change!

I've done this! I say leave it as is. It makes it more endearing. Of course, it depends on what school of 'needlework thought' you follow, lol. If it will bother you to no end, you will have to re-stitch it. But I would leave it. You've done a wonderful job of stitching. I love that little curl on her forehead. :-)

Lisa--I wasn't sure how I felt about that curl. As a matter of fact I might change her face a little, though I'll leave it for the end and see what I think. I think I'd be happier if she had a mouth.
