Since it is a new year, and I have been very remiss in the past year in updating my blog, I am going to try and be better. So I thought I would share a few photos of project I've been working on. Yes, here is more "Toccata 2".
This one is a bit closer up. I am working on that motif under the tree which is using soie perle (which I hate to be honest) and japan gold thread (which I don't like much better). Still, I'm making slow progress.
I started Just Nan's "Tulip Time" last year, but now that the holidays are over and I am thoroughly tired of the cold and snow I thought it would be nice to look at something pretty and colorful.
And a new year certainly deserves a new project. I decided on Shepherds Bush's "French Heart". It took me a while to divide up the floss (why do all those colors look alike?), and I had to wash the fabric to try and take out some of the creases, but I think I am ready to start stitching tonight. I tried last night, but it was too late and I couldn't rustle up the energy.
Happy New Year everyone!

These are really great projects, Danielle. And French Heart is perfect project to start a new year. I should include a Shepherd's Bush piece into my new starts in 2009 as well.
Have a great 2009!
