I've made very little progress on my Carriage House Samplings cushion. It may be a small project, but stitched on 40 count linen, there is still a lot to fill in it seems. I'm also not overly pleased with how my stitches are looking, but I think once it is actually finished into a cushion, I will like it much more than I do now.
I had been thinking I wouldn't mind working on something summer-y since the weather is getting warmer and it finally feels like summer. I pulled out a Birds of a Feather chart called "No Bees, No Honey". I love bee motifs and it's been ages since I stitched one. I will have to iron my fabric as it is quite limp and I have a hard time working on limp fabric.
I also pulled out a project I had started ages ago, but didn't get many stitches in. Again it is a Birds of a Feather design called "Land That I Love". It calls for an ivory fabric, but I picked one I had on hand that is closer to a light tan (sorry the color is not true here--I couldn't get the light quite right). I'm not sure I like it as much now as I did when I started it, but I'm not sure I have any ivory fabric to begin again.
I'm being very difficult, aren't I? Not terribly pleased with anything? I think that's why I've not been stitching much lately (and posting here even less!). I want to stitch, but I can't sem to find anything to settle down on that I actually enjoy working on!
I love BOAF designs amongst others of course. I am sure you will love your CHS one once it is made up because there hasn't been a single CHS design that I don't love. I am so sorry I didn't find this hobby of mine 30 years ago so I could stitching everything I want to and hope I don't go dolally before I have done loads. Lots of Love Patti xxx

I think your stitches look great and it'll be darling when done. Love the "No Bees No Honey" chart - love all BOAF charts, in fact!

Patti--I think I'll like it much more when it's finished, too. Besides, who looks that closely at the design? I used to stitch more than I have recently, but lately there just doesn't seem to be the time! I could have discovered stitching a few years earlier, too! We'll see how much stash I actually get through, though I am being much better at not buying everything that looks tempting!
Terri--I am analyzing too much!! I'm getting nitpicky on how my stitches look, but once a project is done, you really just look at the entire piece rather than all the little individual stitches! And I love that Bees chart too and have often thought of stitching it!

I had two of these patterns (CHS & Bees) in my hands on Friday when I was at the cross stitch store. Didn't buy either yet, but that doesn't mean I won't eventually.
Love your progress. Hope you solve your fabric dilemma with "Land that I Love."

Linen Stitcher--If I had a local stitching shop I would not be quite so good as I currently have been!! I haven't decided yet on Land That I Love, but I pressed and starched the fabric for bees and now it's nice and stiff and ready to go! :)

I just finished the "No Bees No Honey" and it is even prettier stitched. I think you will love it and it was a very easy stitch! Will have to check back on your progress.
