I pulled this design out at the end of last month, and last weekend I ironed (and starched) my fabric and put in my first stitches.
I know this doesn't look like much so far, but for me (who's been stitching so little lately), I think I've made great progress in the week I've been working on it. I actually feel like getting it out every day and adding a few stitches. I'm hoping to finish it before the end of the summer (or perhaps even earlier). I think I'm just in the mood to work on Birds of a Feather designs, but I'm going to stick with just one project at a time! Hopefully I'll have even more time to work on it this weekend!
I love this design and I think you have made great progress on your piece. I can see why it's a pleasure to stitch.

Thanks all! I'm really enjoying this one and have been making good progress--finally! I hope to share another photo at the end of the weekend.
Maren--It's probably not recommended to starch fabric--I suppose it's actually better to wash all that stuff out of the linen in order to preserve it longer. But I really can't work on floppy fabric and find myself easily frustrated by it. Starching it has made it so much better to work on!! If it was normal linen and cotton floss I could just wash it out at the end, but this is all hand dyed, so I'll just hope for the best! :)
