I'm really happy that I've been stitching fairly regularly again, but I don't want to get into the habit of buying too much new stash. I have loads of charts that are kitted up and ready to go, so I really do want to limit the number of new designs I buy. However, I've been contemplating stitching Blackbird Designs' Loose Feather Mystery from 2008. (By the way I snagged this photo from Needlecraft Corner and am hoping it is from the last chart). I admired this back in 2008, but I wasn't really stitching much at the time, so I never bothered to order it. Now I want it, and of course I am itching to stitch it.
My question--has anyone stitched it, and do you have a photo I can see? I am really interested in stitching it on five separate pieces of linen, but I am unsure if I will be able to stitch them together correctly at the end. I'm particularly interested in seeing a finish using the different linen. If all else fails I will simply use one solid piece of linen and am sure it will still be lovely. Can you tell I have already decided I am getting this one?
And am I the only person not to know there is yet another Hawk Run Hollow chart coming out?! I have yet to finish the first one, have started the second, have the linen and chart for the third, and not even the chart yet for the fourth. My birthday is next month, so if I give in to temptation again, it will be in the form of asking for it for my birthday gift! I wonder what other Market goodies I am going to want.
I didn't stitch this one, but I did stitch Flea Market Souvenir and I think, were I to do another one where you have to sew the fabrics together, I'd do that part first, on a machine and then do all the stitching. But, I'm no expert and that's probably the bass akward way to do it! I'm anxious to see what else comes out at market, too!

I haven't stitched this piece, so I can't help you.
I read about the new Hawk Run Hollow piece on Kathy's blog, so I've been waiting for some sneak peeks on there. I have Shores, which I've half finished, and the Christmas one. I would eventually like to stitch them all, but it's definitely a loooooong term goal!

I have this in my to do pile. The pattern done in installments and is spread out over the year of Loose Feather patterns. It took me a while to find all of them. One was particularlly hard to locate, I think it was the first one. Had to turn to Ebay to find some. I haven't decided if I will do this on one piece of linen or multiple. It sure is a beauty!

Terri--I like the idea of different linens, but I have no idea how it was done and thought I had better ask around first. I might just go the simple route and buy one piece of linen. I had to search for the Flea Market Souvenir--it's cool, too.
Susan--I think that's where I must have seen mention, too. I was hoping she might have something on her website, but it's not be updated for months. I'm really curious about it. I have the first two started and really need to pull them out and work on them. I will probably get the Christmas and Autumn ones--but charts only until I finish the others first.
Kristin--I'm not sure where I got it in my mind to stitch this--I have a few other Blackbird charts I could do first. Needlecraft Corner has all the charts, so I just need to decide how I am going to stitch it. It is very lovely indeed!

Like Terri, I haven't stitched this one, but have stitched Flea Market Souvenir, on separate pieces of linen. I stitched them all together at the end and it really wasn't too difficult. I think Gio (http://gio162.wordpress.com) is stitching the one you want to stitch on separate pieces of fabric, so it might be worth checking out her blog.

Hi Danielle,
Thanks for coming by my blog today. You've found me and now I've found you!
I haven't stitched this big piece but a friend of mine is stitching it but all on one big piece of linen. She didn't want to be sewing pieces together. (sorry, no photo)

Karen--Thanks for the links! That helped me decide!
Giovanna--Thanks for getting in touch. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your progress!
Melissa--Thanks for stopping by here as well! I can see I have lots of new blogs to explore. For the last two years I've really been out of the loop and have missed stitching! I decided to go with the separate pieces of linen--I only hope I will be able to sew them together okay.

I am planning on stitching this one as soon as my current BBD piece is finished and I can source all the different fabrics. I have been looking into how to stitch them together and I think that to get them looking perfect I will be doing them by hand.
If you would like to join me in stitching them, please let me know, it would be nice to SAL with someone else. Send me an email if you would like.

Suzanne--BBD seems very popular and I'm looking forward to stitching this. I stitched their Quaker sampler a couple of years ago. If you have problems finding the materials I ordered all mine from Drema at Needlecraft Corner. I will send you an email about stitching this! :)
