Do you remember this? The Needle's Content "Sampler Farm" was going to be one of my February projects. Valentine's Day has passed and I will probably not get to some of the designs I had hoped to start, but I did put in the first stitches on this one.
I'm using overdyed floss as called for in the chart but I am stitching it on 40 count Lambswool. I was happy that I stitched the outline of the heart without making a single error! That doesn't happen often. Now I am starting to fill in the little motifs. It's not too large, so I am hoping I can make quick progress on it. I have no idea yet how I will finish it (maybe a door hanger?), but I love the design!
What a nice start! Enjoy working on it, looks like it will stitch up quickly.

That's always such a relief if the border matches up. I love your color of fabric. Have fun with it.

Whew! These are hardly first stitches--you've already got the border all done. LOVE this on 40 ct; I think it's good that you are stitching it even though it's not february anymore. ;)

That's such a cute design. Hopefully you'll be able to make quick work of it!

Lois--I think it will go fast and am hoping to have some time to work on it this weekend!
Annemiek--I was surprised I had counted so well--having the border out of the way seems like a big thing and the rest will go quickly. I love Lambswool so hope it looks nice with the floss colors.
Beritbunny--I think with smaller counts the design feels smaller, though really you're right that was a lot of stitches! Hearts are good anytime really, and this isn't especially a Valentine's Day design. I really like working on 40 count--it looks nice and delicate!
Debbie--I love quick finishes--it makes me feel like I am making real progress! I've wanted to stitch this for ages!

Great news with the norder, there is nothing worse than getting to the ends and they don't match up. This is a lovely start. If you stitch this up now, you will be well ahead for next Valentine's Day.
