My poor Blackbird Design Mystery Sampler has not been getting much attention lately. After pulling out my sewing machine a couple of weeks ago to finish a few things I haven't had much time to stitch, so this has suffered a bit. Suzanne very kindly agreed to SAL with me, but I've not been a very good stitching buddy. She's made lots of good progress and will hopefully finish the first section soon.
And hopefully I'll get some stitching time in this weekend and I plan to devote most of it to this, and just maybe I can start to catch up. I still have at least half of the design of part one yet to stitch. By the way, the fabric color is closer to the color of the top photo than the one just above. It's strange how the camera angle and how the light hits the fabric can throw the color off. I think I will try and post a photo once a week and maybe that will help me stay on track to keep adding stitches.
Looking good!

I like your start on the BBD Mystery Sampler! I know what you mean about taking a photo and how the colours turn out depending on the light and angle!
Just catching up on previous posts - you've done a lot of wonderful things with the PS stitching!

Giovanna--Thanks. It's a start anyway. :)
Melissa--I think I'm going to want to pick up the Mystery Sampler more when I get further into it. And I love PS designs--there are so many I would love to stitch, but it would be nice to finish those monthly designs this year.

It looks great! I have the same problem with colors in photos.

It looks lovely!

What you've stitched so far is beautiful! Truly! You'll catch up but I think the PS finishes were well worth the time spent away from stitching. I left you a comment on the PS post, too because I missed it somehow. What wonderful finishes - I'm so jealous (in a good way) of your finishing skills!!!

What you have managed so for is just lovely! I hope you get some time to work further on it this weekend.

Jaimie--My photos are usually not that great to begin with, but I know people will get the general idea! :)
Lois--Thanks!
Terri--It is nice seeing new things on my shelf, and now I am not sure when I'll get the sewing machine out again, so it's time to stitch instead. I like finishing by hand, but if you could see the backs of some of the things I finish using the sewing machine you would probably shudder! :)
Patti--Thanks. I'm hurrying to catch up on computer things so I can turn it off later and stitch instead tonight!

Great progress on your sampler. I still haven't finished mine, I had a much too busy weekend and was distracted with some crochet projects. I have a long weekend coming up, so I should have some more stitching time.

Hi Danielle,
Funnily enough, I've just kitted up the Mystery Sampler, too. Still working on part 1 as you are! I need to finish up LHN Library and then back to Blackbird designs!

Suzanne--I didn't stitch at all last weekend--maybe can fit in some more letters this weekend? Part of the vine??
Judy--I love that LHN design--have it in my stash, too. And I am making slow progress on my mystery sampler, but I will be happy when I finish this first section. I do love the fabrics and colors, though.
