I do have to admit my first impression was "ooh, that's bright!" - but it's hard to tell if it's a good thing or bad thing yet ... if the rest of the design is bright then it will be a lovely balance, I'm sure - I don't think you'll be able to judge properly until you get a bit more stitched up. Looking forward to seeing the end result as this piece grows! :D

Count you stitch in some of the rest of the design to see if the red really stands out with the other colors? BoAF do tend to be on the bright side, so it may work out well.

Lois

I say stitch a little more and get a few of the other colours in. It does look bright but BOAF do like to use strong, bright colours and it'll be fun to see how it progresses.

Katrina

It is that bright, I bought the skein of fire several weeks in anticipation of stitching this piece :-).

Suzanne

The colour is bright, but I think you need to see the whole piece together before you can make up your mind. I have ordered some threads ready to stitch this one as well.

Brigitte

I think you have to add more colours and then the red colour might perfectly fit. And if not you can take it out and choose a different red.

Danielle

Thanks for all the input everyone! I have stitched a bit more on it and think it might be okay, and will share a photo soon. I've been busy with house things so have not had much stitching or blogging time but hope to get back to it very soon!!

I am looking for this chart. Any help locating it would be so helpful.
