I've been meaning to do a bit of an update all weekend, but here it is Sunday night and the weekend is all but over and now I need to get things ready for work, so this will be a quickie! I've put in a few more stitches on my BOAF design though haven't used many new colors. I'm still not sure how I feel about it, and now I've discovered I counted wrong! I have one too many stitches in her dress lengthwise. I am putting this one aside for the moment in favor of something else that is working better for me.
I had also made a mistake in my "Rain, Rain" design by Prairie Schooler, but I frogged the incorrect color and went back and restitched the wrong letters, so now I am back on track. So she is coming along nicely and I think I'll try and concentrate on finishing this little design. I'm in need of some instant gratification, I think.
I'm not sure what the weather is like where you are, but it has Already turned hot where I am. Over 90 degrees today and it's still only May. This is August weather. I hate extreme temperatures and someday I dream of living somewhere where the temps are more moderate year round. In any case, since it is practically summer and already feels like it, maybe it is time to work on my little Just Nan whimzie design that I started, oh, how many years ago now? This might just be my instant gratification, though there are all those color changes! I even have the little frame for it.
And I'm still working away on my Mystery Sampler by Blackbird Designs, but there wasn't much new to share there. Maybe later this week? Once again I am finding it hard to fit in stitching time and even harder for blogging time (both writing here and leaving comments on other needlework blogs). I am, however, at least reading posts and feeling envious of everyone else's work as I keep things straight via Google Reader. If I can't stitch and blog, at least I can live vicariously through everyone else.
I'm feeling pretty boo-hiss about colour changes myself lately. I really just want to do monochromatic stitching, which I find boring at other times--go figure!
That PS is making me really want to stitch one up right now, lol! I love Mystery Sampler as well, so I hope you'll be able to share some more with us sometime soon! :D Have a good week at work, and good luck with those August Temps! Here it's just rain and cool. It's either 80 or 40-50 yo-yo-ing back and forth! I wish I could put away the jackets for good already, but I don't want 90s!

Great stitching on all of these!

Gosh, Danielle, I'm there with you! I haven't been stitching much lately nor blogging. Work has overtaken my life...for now.
Anyway, It's nice to see you and your WIP's!

Beritbunny--I think I might start all over with that BOAF and get the overdyed colors as listed. They just are too loud for me or something, but mostly I'm annoyed that I made a mistake so early on. I am enjoying the PS design and my Mystery Sampler, too, which is a good thing or I wouldn't feel like stitching at all. And I'm not happy about such warm weather already. I prefer cool temps--blah. Give me Spring or Fall any day.
Giovanna--Thanks--I'm making slow progress but better than none at all! :)
Melissa--I'm glad I'm not the only one. I could use a nice vacation--a cabin on a lake or a condo by the ocean...with lots of lazy time to read and stitch. What a nice fantasy. Thanks for the kind words!

Both of those designs are so cute, but that is too bad about all the frogging. The weather is hot here now - 87 tomorrow. Last week I was freezing my you-know-what off!

Lovely stitching. Sorry about all that frogging, it can be such a pain.

Your WIPS are lovely and each different! Sorry to hear you've had to do some frogging that is such a pain!

All your WIP's are going great. The Feed the Birds reminds me of Mary Poppins. And the PS is coming along nicely. Bummer on the frogging but at least it is back on track. I love Just Nan designs, the colors are so beautiful! Have a great week Danielle!

Debbie--I hate frogging but the nice thing about having several projects on the go at once--you can pick up something else and ignore the one that needs to be corrected!
Suzanne--Thanks. I hate making progress only to find it has to be all picked out again.
Dani--Thanks--I do have a nice variety on the go. I can pick and choose according to mood. Right now I am ignoring the one that needs to be frogged--will save it for later! :)
Jaimie--Thanks so much. I've not worked on anything at all this weekend, but I hope to finish on the computer soon and give myself some time to work. At least I have an extra day this weekend. Have a great week, too!!
