I'm cheating a little--I stitched most of this last year, but I finally put in the last stitches just this afternoon! It is Prairie Schooler's "Rain, Rain". I stitched this one several years back and gave it away, but I like the design so much I wanted it for myself, too. The first time I finished it as a pincushion with tassles on all four corners. This time I will finish it as a mattress pincushion--my first time trying this sort of finishing! I hopefully will share my first "finished" finish soon!
congrats on the lovely finish! Looking forward to seeing it as a mattress!

I love PS projects, and this one is no exception. I'm looking forward to seeing it as a little mattress cushion, something I've never tried.

Congrats on your first finish. I should be stitching that too because that's exactly the kind of weather we've been having!
Looking forward to seeing your finish!

That's it!!!! I have to copy this idea from you...I love this piece and I have been wanting a mattress pin cushion for 2 years now!!!! I will have to have the finish done by someone else but I can stitch it! I have loved this chart for a long time too!!!!! Have to get it!!!

Kathy--Thanks! I'm looking forward to sharing a proper finish!
Glenna--I've yet to try it as well. I think it should go smoothly as I've done that sort of backstitching and then stitching together--only there will be more than usual with this.
Melissa--Tis the season, eh. I am looking forward to rain instead of snow, but I'm afraid I've a good three months or so to go still! :(
Giovanna--Thanks!
Laura--Feel free-this seemed the perfect shape and size to use that sort of finishing on. I've wanted to try it for ages. Prairie Schooler has lots of wonderful small sized designs.
Terri--Thank you!
Suzanne--I was lucky as someone kindly made this for me. Now I have something on hand so I can look it as I do the actual finishing!

Cheating or not - it's a wonderful little finish. But could it be different, as it is a Prairie Schooler design? No! And I can easily imagine this finished as a mattress.
