Here it is--I've finished my Prairie Schooler "Rain, Rain" design. Thanks for the suggestions and help! I ended up using play old polyfill to stuff it. I may tweak how I finish something like this in the future, but it went smoothly enough. I wonder if I should use interfacing to make it a little stiffer? And I use two plies of floss, but would one work just as well and be easier? I have a feeling I'll be making more of these!
The corners are always the hardest part of finishing something like this. I may change the color of the pins that I chose, and I may use a piece of ribbon, but right now this is how it looks.
I might also use a little interfacing next time, too, though I'm not sure. It has a sort of 'lumpy' quality to it, but I still like it! Now I get to decide whether to pull out another small UFO or start a new design. I am still working on PS "February" but it is also nice to have a small project on the go as well.
It's adorable Danielle! Your finishing looks great - congratulations! :D

Simply gorgeous!!! I have been wanting to make a mattress pin cushion but cannot even figure out how much fabric to buy. I am really behind the curve on figuring these things out. I am getting this chart at my LNS tomorrow and I am so inspired by you I am really going to try this out. Thanks for your pics!!!!!!

Kristen--Thanks!
Laura--I will have to check your blog--I hope you'll post progress photos! I just used odds and ends of scraps for this one and it worked out okay. I am sure your LNS can help work out how much fabric you need. Have fun working on it.
Margaret Steadman--Thank you!
Cathy--I don't like using the sewing machine much as I am not good at sewing straight, but working by hand doesn't bother me too much. It's been trial and error for me, but eventually I get it to where I like it.
Giovanna--Thank you!
Terri--Yay, now I am feeling very much like spending more time stitching.

Gorgeous finish! I found my matress pincushion was a little lumpy as well, but I think that's part of the charm.
