The new Godiva catalog came today. Godiva is my all time favorite chocolatier. And dark chocolate is my favorite kind of chocolate. You have probably heard how dark chocolate is actually an antioxidant (or something along those lines), and it is good for you. So chocolate is practically a health food in my book.
Per the Godiva catalog, this is how to taste chocolate like an expert:
Look for smoothness and glossiness.
Listen Solid chocolates snap cleanly.
Smell Bring a broken a broken piece to your nose and savor its fragrance.
Taste Contemplate the complex blend of flavors and concentrate on how long it takes for the chocolate to melt in your mouth. Feel the smooth, luscious texture of fine chocolate.
Some new flavors I want to try: Limetta (key lime pie ensconced in sleek dark chocolate), Nocturne (smooth cocoa ganache, in beautifully embellished dark chocolate), Gingevere (an exotic blend of spicy ginger and silky milk chocolate). Yum.
