I have only one thing to say today.
Snow Day!
This is a shot outside my window late yesterday afternoon during a lull in the snow. It doesn't really look like much here but when all is said and done we should get about 9" of the stuff. And when that's done, it's going to blow. So much so that it'll be near blizzard-like conditions.
So, the university closed down yesterday just before noon and we're closed today. Days like this call for snuggling under blankets with a book in hand, which is just what I'm going to do!
This morning it was a bit nippy outside. With the wind we have subzero temperatures and I don't think it's going to get above 30 degrees for the next week at least.
And now everyone is trying to dig out from about a foot of snow. After the snow stopped the wind picked up and we have huge drifts of snow in our backyard. I have a feeling that my walk home from work tomorrow is going to be an adventure as not everyone is so industrious about clearing their sidewalks as my neighbor. A few inches is nothing, but wading through so much snow is going to make me cranky. I may have to forgo my hour at the gym after work so I can catch my transfer bus (rather than walk). Unfortunately the bus servicing my neighborhood makes it's last round at about 5:30 (so early!), which means I don't have much time after work to do errands. Ah, the joys of winter. Or rather the joys of winter as a pedestrian.
