I tend to be fairly predictable in my reading patterns and in the last few years this has meant a paucity of American authors. As a matter of fact I feel as though I have been so neglectful as to have completely missed really important authors and books. So, as part of my ongoing reading plans I want to try and fit in more books by Americans--both classics and contemporary works. I'll be adding to my working list of titles, and hopefully as I read and write about the books I'll link here.
