I have seen so many other stitcher's Merry Cox finishes that I would like to try out one of her designs as well. It would be great to take a Merry Cox class, but my chances are pretty slim. She only seems to give classes on the coasts, and they are not cheap I can imagine either! However, there are some lovely designs in past issues of Sampler and Antique Needlework. I found this pinkeep in the Spring 2004 issue. It is a smaller design, and it doesn't call for too many supplies. Since I have accomplished scissor case finishing, I would like to try something new. I think pinkeeps are very nice, and I don't have anything like that in my collection yet. So I have ordered my supplies, and I will let you know when I am ready to start! Who knows, maybe I can work my way up to a huswife or something larger!
As for my wished for projects...I have a few. I keep drooling over these designs. However they are all either too expensive or complicated or both!
- Lady's Sampler Slipper and Burse by Thistle Threads
- Chatelaine Midi Mystery I - Medieval Ages
- Chatelaine Mystery IX - French Garden
- Chatelaine Sampler Mystery II- Peacocks!
- Nantucket Basket and Stitcher's Toys
- Shepherds Bush - Spooky Spots
Okay, I am sure I could add more to the list, but these are the ones I have been thinking of lately!! I do plan on signing up for a couple of Martina's mystery groups (later in the year), but otherwise, I guess for the moment anyway, I will stick with my pinkeep! It is always nice to browse anyway...
