Since I have been planning on stitching the Goode Huswife chart Angel of Tulips, which I will finish as an ornament, it has put me into the mood to really start thinking of other Christmas projects! I know Halloween hasn't even passed yet, but maybe everyone is ready to see some different kinds designs now on my blog? I do still plan on working on my own Halloween projects up until the holiday when I can, however. I have started on my Christmas ornaments for exchanges (I am in three!!), but I won't be able to show any of my progress on those until later next month. So, this all has prompted me to pull out my Victoria Sampler design that I purchased recently--Jingle Bells Christmas Tree Farm (sorry my photo is rather dark). Every time I look at the chart I just think it is lovely! I bought the little embellishment pack rather than trying to gather all the materials myself. It uses all sorts of silks: Gloriana, Kreinik Mori, AVAS, NPI, Caron Waterlilies, as well as GAST overdyed cotton thread. There are also SJ Designs beads and even sequins. I am still trying to hold off starting this one until November, but I should pull out the fibers and beads and get everything sorted out as nothing is labeled (that is always a challenge). I don't ever really stitch any designs for Thanksgiving/Autumn (though I know there are a few out there), I just zip along to the next big holiday! Who else is ready for Christmas stitching?
***I just saw Vero's message...she has tagged me! On Vero's Blog she has shown before and after photos of a stitcher's/quilter's work space. I promise tomorrow to take photos of my area--though I warn I do not have a proper stitching room! I wish I had a room the same size for my things as shown in Vero's photos!! :) Hasta Manana then!!***
