My Angel of Tulips is finally nearly finished! I was able to work on her last night and a bit more today. I had envisioned myself spending so much time stitching over my vacation, but in reality I have not had much time to stitch. I am dragging myself out of bed early each morning and walking to the gym I go to. Yesterday was frigid and I had to walk to the post office, too, to mail my last package and cards. Maybe it was the cold weather that was making everyone there so grumpy!! Yesterday I purchased my last two gifts and went to dinner with my mom. This afternoon I got to wrap all those presents! It didn't seem like that much really, but it still took me a good few hours to get it all done. Inevitably when I start a project I end up cleaning, too. I organized all my wrapping paper, and bows, etc. They were overflowing their box in the closet. I tend to ignore these things during the work week, so now is the time to get it all straightened out. Tonight I baked a couple of batches of Christmas cookies (the house smells like cinnamon at the moment!). Tomorrow my sister is flying in for Christmas, so my mom, sisters and I plan on going out for lunch (and doing some window shopping in our Old Market area of downtown). I hope to finish stitching on my Angel tomorrow night. I am already planning on finishing her by hand. I just need to find something to use as a hanger. I also have sorted out the beads for my Mill Hill pin cushion kit, so that is ready to go. Now I just need some time to stitch (and catch up on my blog reading!!)! Is everyone else ready for Christmas?!
