Finishing February!

Last night I worked a bit on my exchange project, but I really felt like "finishing" something.  I pulled out my Prairie Schooler "February" and worked on the back side of it.  I also got all the backstitching done, so now I am ready to put it all together.  I am finishing it as an eight corner pillow.  I probably should have left an additional space between my stitching and the backstitch, but it should be okay.  I am not going to use a button in the middle, which is why I went ahead and stitched the date and my initials in the middle on back side.  I saw one finished this way on Merumo's blog and thought it was lovely.  Hers doesn't have tassles (they have a different sort of embellishment on the corners), but I think I will stick to tassles, since this is only be second time making one of these.  I like the "puffy" look of it!  I will let you know how it turns out.  I plan on completing it this afternoon.
