Here are the goodies I splurged on for myself when I visited the tiny LNS that I recently rediscovered. I was amazed that I found so many things at A Stitch in Time as it has to be the smallest little needlework store in existence! I can't share the other things I bought as they will be going into my exchange packages. I bought one of the newer Prairie Schooler charts. Christmas ornaments never seem to be out of season! This chart had been on my wish list, too. I also bought a little Sweetheart Tree fob chart called "Catnip Kitty Fob" ( in honor of my two little kitties!), an older Just Nan chart, "Victorian Floral" (I love JN's older designs--especially these smaller ones that are quicker to stitch), Bent Creek's "Pop" (another older design--must get in the mood for summer!), and a Workbasket design I have never seen before called "Cartouches". I was imagining being able to use these lovely motifs in a variety of projects! I am not sure I would even stitch this design as it is charted. But can you imagine little fobs or needlecases? There are all sorts of possibilities!
I am sorry that I will be a bit of a bore in the coming couple of weeks. I have to work hard to get my gifts and exchanges ready for mailing. I am nearly done stitching Patry's gift, and also nearly done with my biscornu. I want to mail those both on Monday. The good news with the biscornu is that I am quite pleased with it. I am happy now that I didn't change designs in the end! I have not had much stitching time in general, and have only added a few stitches to my Shaker Spool Holder. I will have to check in on the group and see how everyone else is doing! Fingers crossed that this will be a fruitful stitching weekend for me!
