I thought I would share a little photo of the bin I mentioned yesterday that holds my ornament stash. Karen thought it might be a good idea to have such a bin--and here is what it looks like. It is a pretty small bin, and I keep my floss, beads, and fabric in it. As it is not always practical to lug around my JCS Ornament issues, I do admit to making copies of those ornaments I want to stitch. I use these as working copies and it makes it much easier to just carry around that one chart and supplies. Plus I can keep them all together in the bin. As you can see there is lots ready and waiting to be stitched---the story of my life!
As you can see I am a big fan of Carriage House Samplings and The (now very sadly defunct) Good Huswife. Actually I have a few other designs hiding about--I didn't want to go in search of more. I am sort of shocked at how much I actually own of their designs. I guess I really don't need to order anything new. Hahaha. I don't need to, but do you really think I will be able to resist everything new? Obviously not since the one new Market design I am getting is by CHS! I mostly have loose charts, but I also have a bunch kitted up (or semi-kitted up) as well. They are in different places, so here it is mostly together. I also have freebies somewhere and my ornament designs (in their little bin). When I mentioned wanting to go through my stash a few days ago, it was mostly in search of the Christmas Ornament that CHS designed for last year's issue. I started it, and I thought it would be something good to have on hand to work on. Now I want to start something else, too! I want to stitch "The Sampler Farm", but I don't have the linen for it. One of the new Tombstone Angels (I have "Prudence Wilcome" kitted up) might be good or the older "Her Tulip Garden" (leaning heavily towards this one). I also have a GH UFO that (hint, hint to myself) I should work on--"With My Needle". Faced with so many choices, it is really hard to make a decision. Why is she such a prolific designer?!
Did everyone see this lovely design? It is by Judy Odell called "My Treasure Workstation". Isn't it gorgeous? I don't think I can afford it right now, but I had to give a little plug as my friend Jodi's dad has made all of the thread keepers that is part of this design. I know he has a website, but I can't find the URL at the moment, so I will have to ask Jodi for it. It looks like this is being offered in a class situation, so perhaps there will be another one later, as this is such a unique design. Isn't it amazing what designers can come up with?
