I am actually making a little progress on "July"--my Prairie Schooler ornament--much better than my poor "April" rabbit! But we won't talk about him right now! I was checking out Lelia's Blog tonight. She is always working on the loveliest projects. And she is able to convert colors so well--this is always something I am afraid to do. I guess I don't trust myself to choose colors that work well together. Anyway, I was looking at her latest finishes, and one is a little cushion with beads around it. This got me to thinking that perhaps I could use red, white and blue beads around the outside of mine as well. Or maybe I could get really fancy and do a sort of scallop edging like I will do on my "Dainty Housewren" pillow. I had thought I could finish this as a fob, but I like the idea of a beaded cushion a bit better. As this is 40 count linen, I hope that wouldn't make a difference in terms of adding beads. I will have to look for the smallest ones I can find! Maybe when I go back to May or June I can finish one of those into a fob.
I think Carriage House Sampling's "VoHRH" is due to be shipped to stores this week. I have not seen yet that Needlecraft Corner has received theirs yet. I am looking forward to this. Despite trying to be good, and having lots of stash already, it is still nice to get something good in the mail! I can't wait to get my supplies! I have been trying not to look too much at new designs, as I have to try and get back on track in terms of no new stash! I am in the mood to look through my CHS stash and see what is there. I wish I could get the little new "virtue series". And I am tempted to stitch the alphabet charts (either together or separately), but I don't have all the charts (or any of the materials). Sometimes it feels a bit boring to always show the same rotation of designs! Oh well, maybe a little stash diving is what I need to feel better!
