Instant gratification is not going to come from this project. I would show you a progress photo as I worked on it today, but I seem to be working in reverse! I noticed not one stitching error, but several. So I spent my break at work picking out stitches (and I'm not yet done), rather than making any new stitches! That is always so frustrating when stitching time is limited! I don't know how I managed to make so many errors, but I thought it would be better to fix them now before things get worse! So much for working on "The Sampler Farm"!
Yesterday Typepad was having problems all afternoon and most of the evening, so I was not able to post. Not only that, but the few comments that were left on my blog also disappeared. Another frustration--but this one is beyond my ability to fix. At least I hadn't posted and lost that! Hopefully things are back to normal now. I am pretty happy with Typepad, and usually I don't have many problems with my blog, so really I can't complain too much.
I was able to finally go and make the rounds earlier on my blogroll. Mostly I just peeked, but I tried to leave a few comments as well when I could. It looks as though lots of people are working on Blackbird Designs "Quaker Garden". Eventually I hope to stitch it as well, but I can't bring myself to order more supplies after my big VoHRH purchase! And speaking of new stash--I am quite envious of everyone who has lots of new stash--you know who you are--LOL! Lots of people are on vacation or have shared lovely garden photos. And of course it always makes me want to start something new when I look at what everyone is stitching!
This leads me to--I need some instant gratification. I want to work on something that is quick to stitch and finish. I need to pull out supplies for my next Prairie Schooler ornament, but I also want something entirely different. I may have to stash dive later and see what small project (and the Christmas mood has temporarily passed, so it won't be anything like that), I can find to work on! Big projects are great, but it feels like it takes forever to finish a nice big chunk--not so with small projects. I will let you know what I come up with!
