Someday I will get the hang of taking really good photos of my work, but apparently not today! I need to find a tutorial. Any suggestions? I think I will need to post to one of the bulletin boards for this. I took these outside to try and get better light, but perhaps it is too sunny. And I used the macro focus, but maybe I should just stick with reagular focus? Oh well, you can at least see that I did manage to finish one of the "Virtues" by Carriage House Samplings. This one is "Love". I want to stitch all of them, but I will probably work on something different for a while before stitching the next one. Now I need to decide how to finish it. I was thinking I would do them all as pinkeeps, but now I am contemplating finishing it as a little fob.
This little guy (and he is very little) is from the Homespun Elegance chart "Wee Fancies I". He was very quick to stitch and I am almost done with the other blackbird design (he is sitting on a watermelon) too. I have the mini frames for these (smaller even than the WhimZi frames and more rectangular). There are four designs on the chart, but one is a sunflower which calls for the center to be entirely stitched with Colonial Knots. I am not sure I can manage that (French Knots are my least favorite stitch!), so I am not sure I will do that one. The other one is a sweet little bee skep, which I will definitely stitch! Perhaps this afternoon I can finish the other two up. Still pondering which design (from yesterday) that I want to start....
