Here it is...

Here is the mystery gift I am always mentioning.  As I have already given my friend the matching scissor fob (complete with new scissors), the surprise is out.  Also I think she is still on vacation, so not likely to see this post anyway.  There is really not a lot left to do.  Any normal stitcher could most likely finish the stitching on this in just a few evenings.  But I am slower than most, so here is my progress. I think I am dragging my feet for fear of finishing something with a new technique and I am a little afraid of messing it all up.  However I did get some good instructions, and they don't sound too complicated, so I need to be more confident.  There are only the smyrnas around the edge, the rest of the flowers and then these motifs in the corners to complete.  I need to go through my fabric stash to decide on a lining fabric and then I will use plain old felt for the needles.  Just need encouragement to complete it.....Why has this been such a tough gift to stitch??!!
