I have *Finally* finished my friend's gift! I spent last night working on the sewing. I did it all by hand and am fairly pleased with how it turned out. Of course there is always room for improvement, but for a first attempt it looks pretty decent. I will be taking a photo before I mail it off tomorrow, but I will wait until my friend gets it before showing it. There probably isn't going to be much of a surprise element left, but after seeing the fob I mailed off earlier, she most likely knew what the other piece would look like anyway. Needless to say this is a major relief for me.
I have decided I am going to kit up the "Petite Mexican Sampler" by Samplar Workes now. Thanks for the suggestions on where to buy the linen. This will be something new for me. I don't mind 40 count as long as the light is good, but 48 count! That should be interesting! It also calls for AVAS, but it calls for the Soie de Paris, which I have never used. This will all be a new experience for me between the linen and silks. I hope to get the supplies ordered in the next couple of days. This week it is back to VoHRH and my "Miss Kitty's Dragons". This almost makes me want to get back to my "Elegant Accessories", too!
