The last few days have brought wonderful mail! I am now two Quaker patterns richer. Both are by a company called Needlprint--I now have Beatrix Potter's Quaker Sampler and Sarah Moon's Quaker Sampler. Although both are a tad bit on the pricey side, they are at least nice, sturdy charts. It might be nice to stitch the Beatrix Potter Quaker Sampler in a different colored floss, but I like the color scheme for Sarah Moon. I made the mistake of trying to peel off the price label, and ended up ripping the chart slightly--very annoying! Why don't stores use those labels that are easy to remove?! I don't think I will be kitting these up very soon--not when I have Sarah Tatum ready to go! Eventually though...! I also bought the new Whitman Sampler candy tin (candies are already gone...am I the only person who hates those coconut chocolates? Why can't they put in vanilla buttercream instead??), as well as the Facy Work chart for the sewing set to go along with the tin. I think it is a lovely little set, and it must be pretty small to fit in there! And lastly I bought a recent Carriage House Samplings chart--Strawberry Blonde. I have admired this one since it came out! Of course I have plenty of other projects on the go to keep me busy for a while, but it is still fun to get new charts!
