I am looking for the perfect Christmas ornament to stitch. I guess it is time to pull out all the old JCS issues and begin my search. I signed up for the ornament exchange on the SBEB Board, and today I recieved the name of the stitcher I will be sending to. She left it pretty open in terms of what to stitch. Sometimes that is nice (I can choose what I want), but it can also be sort of hard (what if she doesn't like the designer I choose?). So I am trying to think of a nice, general designer that most people like. I need to have it stitched and finished and in the mail no later than December 5th! I have a few ideas, but I am always a bit unsure when it comes to exchanges!
Today I worked more on my birthday gift. For some reason I thought it had to be mailed to Canada (but it is only going to Texas!), so I thought time was really running out as mail seems to take forever to Canada. Now I have bit more time to work on it than expected. I am making fairly decent progress, however. I thought I made a mistake and searched and counted, but I couldn't figure out where I messed up. In the end it was a matter of I counted the squares on the chart wrong, so I only had to pick out one stitch--thank heavens. I hope to really get a lot done this weekend. Maybe I can work on a project of my own as well and have something to share here, too!
