I have been RAK'd by another stitcher (thanks Cari!!!). Last month I mentioned that there was a kit available for the Celle Sampler 1826, which I found in a stitching magazine. As my birthday is not too far away I was thinking it would be something I could ask for from my family, but as it turned out a stitcher saw this and offered me her chart. She was weeding her collection and passed it along to me. It came in the mail today, and I am thrilled to have it. She let me know ahead of time what the floss and fabric requirements were, so I have bought loads of DMC floss. This is a Danish chart, and unfortunately they do not give you specifications as to how much floss to buy. Now I just need to get the linen or check my stash and see what I have on hand. It calls for 32 count Natural linen, but I am wondering if a smaller count linen wouldn't be better. I plan on using the called for floss, however. I sort of like the darker colors with the reddish highlights.
I'm afraid stitching is going to be on hold for a day or two. I seem to have strained a muscle in my neck and shoulder and am in a bit of pain. Depending on how I hold my head I feel either better or worse, so I better wait until I am in less pain before bending over stitching! It's amazing how a strain there really effects how you can move and feel! And I suppose I should cut short my computer time as staring at this screen isn't overly comfortable either!
