Merry Fifteen

  

I really want this, but I'm not sure I can bring myself to spend $100 on it.  I've never stitched a pin-suchion like this--fifteen panels.  It is gorgeous, though.  It's an exclusive kit through The Silver Needle.  The thing is I am notorious for buying expensive designs and then taking forever to stitch and finish them.  Is anyone planning on ordering this?

I've finished most of the bee skep in my BOAF "No Bees, No Honey" project.  I seem to be missing the color needed for the diagonal lines.  I thought I could just substitute another color, but I found that the diagonals seemed to just blend in with the rest of the bee skep, so I'll wait until I can buy the missing color.  I'll move on to the border next, I think.

 

I've also started Just Nan's "Summer Spell".  I thought I might be able to stitch this one quickly and do the finishing over the weekend, but it's turning out to be more (slower) work than I anticipated.  There are lots of color changes.  It will be worth it when I'm done, but right now the work is a little bit tedious.  When there are only a couple of stitches, I'm never quite sure how to secure the threads on the back side.  I think I've gotten out of practice working on her designs!  Now to finish these before the end of summer!
