Well, I did manage to finish stitching on one holiday project. The design is by Mary Garry's Sewing Cabin and it is an ornament from the 2000 Just Cross Stitch Ornament issue. Rather than an ornament I'm thinking at the moment of making this into a pinkeep! Hopefully I can squeeze that in sometime before the end of the year.
I've already started working on a new project. I started this a long time ago but I made a mistake and never bothered to pick out the messed up stitches. Now I've done that and am back on track with it. The design is "Sampler Farm" by The Goode Huswife. It calls for a tea or coffee dyed linen, but I am using Lambswool. I am contemplating tea dying it after I finish but I've never done that to linen that has been stitched on. Has anyone tried it? How does it work? I should probably have done it before starting to stitch! Still, I can leave the Lambswool as is if I like the look of it when I finish.
I'm hoping to stitch more in 2010 than I have in 2009. Famous last words.
