First, many thanks for the very kind compliments on my Quaker Heart. I do appreciate them and have been quite happy with my finish. It's been on my night stand all week for lack of a better place to display it. I think I need to start a little 'redwork' basket, but it might be a loner unless I pull out a few stitched gifts I've received.
Although I've not made much progress I thought I would share my BBD Mystery Sampler (am SAL-ing with Suzanne). I managed to put in a few stitches earlier in the week on part one. Unfortunately this has been a really busy week and with the Olympics on, I've been pretty distracted from doing any needlework. I spent most of last weekend putting in those last stitches of my Quaker Heart and then doing the sewing, but hopefully this weekend I can work on this as well as my Sampler Farm! I love working on this mystery sampler, but for an odd reason--the linen smells so good. I'm guessing it is coffee or tea dyed (Korty's Blend) and you can totally smell it.
As tomorrow (2/20) is my birthday I am off in the evening to celebrate with my family and I am hoping one of my gifts just might be stitching related. I'll let you know what I get.
Happy weekend everyone!
