Here are some of my stash bins, and I have a feeling that my missing housewren is in one of these. These are also in need of serious reorganization as well as a little consolidation. Unfortunately I don't have a special stitching room, so bins are the best I can do to keep things together (more or less anyway). The two smaller bins with handles are kept by my bed. Supposedly they contain my current projects or designs I'd like to stitch soon, but most of the contents have been there for ages and not really reflective of what I'm working on. Lots of UFOs in there as well. The three bigger bins are all the designs that are kitted up (or at least partially so). As you can see (though I should really give you a peek inside, shouldn't I?) I have lots of charts I really want to stitch! And I really need not buy anything new. Ahem. The two smaller bins are filled with UFO's! That's where I expected my housewren to be, but there was no sign of her, so now onto those other bins.
Not shown--I have a bin with projects that are stitched but not yet made into anything. I have a floss bin and a linen bin. I have a bin with just charts (which should really be weeded). I have a small bin with a few of Martina's (Chatelaine) designs, and one small bin with stitched accessories that I don't have room to display. I do display a lot of my things, but unless I move into a larger house (and someday get my own stitching room!), there is just not enough space to show off everything at once, so I like to switch things out depending on season.
I do have a room of my own, but in it is my computer, my treadmill and almost all my stitching bins (a few are stored under my bed), plus a few bins with books in them! So as you can imagine there's not a whole lot of room for anything else and it't not a place that I enjoy sitting in and reading or stitching. I do have a wall of stitched designs, which I will share sometime. So, now that the bins are out, I'm off to look for the Dainty Housewren!
