This is Snowdon, which is the highest mountain in Wales according to the wikipedia. Or if I am going to be entirely accurate, it is Golau'r wawr ar Yr Wyddfa in Welsh. My scan has made the image much brighter than the card is in actuality. There is an etherealness to the card if you see it in person. The postcard caption reads "Snowdon at sunrise". Quite picturesque, don't you think?
I'm envious as the Postcrosser who sent it to me tells me that she lives in a village by the sea in North Wales and owns a secondhand bookshop. Bliss is what I am thinking!
The stamp on the back is the standard Queen Elizabeth II. Do you notice how she's color coordinated with the colors on the front, though?
