Another lovely surprise in the mailbox from a fellow postcrosser and another bookish friend--a most unusual map card. This is the British Isles from Space. According to the description it is a LANDSAT Multi-Spectral Scanner false color mosaic (say *taht* three times quickly). The image was produced by Space Sector, DRA Farnborough.
It arrived the tiniest bit scuffed, but lacking none of the charm of any of the other postcards I've gotten from the UK thus far. I've not seen any card like it before and am quite pleased to have it. I wonder what the color variations mean?
The stamp on the flip side is the same one I shared here, Edward VIII.
