I once had a penpal from Tempere, Finland, so it was very cool when I found this postcard in my mailbox which shows the main library of the University of Tempere. Alas, it did not come from my former penpal, but it did bring back happy memories. And with the hot weather we've been having the piles of snow in the photo look kind of refreshing to me!
And is this not the coolest stamp? I don't see many round ones, but this one is quite nice.

Doesn't the University of Washington-Seattle have an especially attractive campus? The postcard description reads "Sunday afternoon on the quad with blossoming cherry trees". You can see a virtual tour of it here. I'm fond of cherry trees, so I could be happy sitting outside here on a sunny afternoon.
