I know that quite often I talk here about all the things I want to do. I think it was just a few weeks back that I posted this picture of a scissor case that I was planning on stitching. For once I can show you a completed photo of one of my undertakings! I have no problem starting and finishing books--books are just to transportable, that I can always find time to slip in a few (or more) pages many times during the day! That doesn't always happen with my needlework.
However...here is my finished scissor case!! It was a fairly fast project to stitch. I was just afraid (which is why it was in my needlework stash so long), I would not be able to do all the sewing to construct the case! It took me a few hours it get it all done, but I managed to do it and am very pleased with the results! It is completely stitched and finished by hand! It was stitched on overdyed fabric with silk floss. The lining is silk dupioni. The dates are the year I began stitching and of course this year when I stitched the case. I am rather proud of my achievement. I tend to finish stitching a project and then put it in a plastic bin. Most of my projects tend to be larger that I will take to a framers, or they might be small, but they are for exchanges so I give them away. I am excited to have something so nice for myself this time!
