It has been worth the wait! This chunky book has been months in the making, and it is finally here. Tracy Roos organized and assembled all these books. It was a huge undertaking, as there were so many people involved in submitting art that she made two books. I can't imagine being that organized. I think there must be at least 60 people per book. That is a lot of pages to keep track of and assemble. It is a lovely little book, however, and I was very excited to get it.
Here is one of my favorite pages. Each person signed up for a color. This page is by Linda Lynch and she chose "bronze". I always admire people who can show texture the way she did in a flat page. She even has a little key in the corner. I wonder how she did that. If I would have taken something 3-D like that to my copy shop, I can just imagine what I would have ended up with. I keep my pages as flat as possible to avoid any problems with copying!
Here is my page. I chose "white". It is amazing how many variations of white there are. I found this great textured looking paper that I used as my base. I love the image of the woman with the dove. This is one of my favorite pages that I have done. At the moment I have just one more page to do for a book that I am late on. I worked on my page yesterday, but I am not sure if I like it, or if I will start over again! I think I will take a bit of a break over the summer with these, as there are always so many family things going on. And they can also be on the expensive side when you are all finished with everything. Of course, I love all my little books and I am sure I will get back into them in a few months!
