I know I have mentioned this series before, but I have to mention them once more. The Morland Dynasty is written by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. I came across the most recent book in a past Common Reader catalog. It all sounded so interesting that I went ahead and ordered the first 25 books. The Common Reader had a special discounted deal. Book number 26 just came out in paper, and 27 in cloth. I believe the series will have about 30 books. I zipped through the first two, but then I got too involved with my library stack, so I set aside #3. Now I have gotten back into it, and it has sucked me in. The saga begins in 1434 during the War of the Roses. At the moment the Morlands, a Yorkshire family, are at court with Elizabeth I and soon will be involved with Mary Queen of Scots as well. The series follows the Morland generations through English history until the present. These are highly readable and I recommend them if you like historical fiction. There is even a Yahoo discussion group for diehard fans, of which there are a few!
