I wasn't going to share a photo of my Carriage House Samplings cushion quite yet. I wanted to wait until I had more progress to share, but here you have my work so far. Another arm and most of the lady's dress. I think about stitching, and I think how relaxing it would be, but by the end of the day when I'm ready to finally sit down and do something for me, I'm usually too tired and it's too late. So I'll just keep thinking about it. Of course in my defense--even though this is a small project, it is also a small count fabric (40 ct), which means it takes lots more stitches to fill up the space!
In terms of thinking about stitching, I think I need to stitch something appropriate for summer. Birds of a Feather is another favorite designer (now defunct sadly--at least they are no longer designing cross stitch charts). I love bee motifs and I had been thinking how much I would love to work on this bee skep sampler finally. The saying on the design is "No Bees No Honey, No Work No Money" (or books for that matter). My fabric and floss are ready to go. I pressed my fabric and starched the heck out of it to make it nice and stiff, so I'm ready to start.
You see, I'm just as bad with needlework projects as I am with books. I'm never satisfied with just one. And it seems to take me forever to finish any of them lately, too!
