I had expected to share with you a photo of a completed bee skep, but as last weekend I was under the weather I didn't get to stitch. So I'm hoping to spend time on my project this weekend and finally finish it. It's a summery type of design, which seems out of place at the moment since it's snowing today!
I've got my next project more or less lined up (a variation on what I had thought I'd stitch next). It's a recent splurge (no more new needlework goodies for the duration either, so I had better enjoy this one!) that I just couldn't resist. The designer is Wendy KC Designs and it's a bag with three accessories (that can fit in the bag when not in use). Although the design itself is pretty simple, the stitching instructions are on the complicated side. I've read them through several times but I still have questions about to lay the design out on the fabric to say nothing of the finishing, so I am hoping to find someone else who's stitching it and we can perhaps work together on the design. I've made accessories like those in this chart, but I've never made a bag, so this will be new to me. I'll let you know how it goes!
There's something wrong with this photo. Snow in early October? This is what it looked like outside my window this morning. At least the concrete was too warm for the snow to accumulate there. Why do I have a feeling this is going to be a long winter (even though it's still fall...). Maybe I will draw out the last stitches on my bee skep to fondly remember warmer, sunnier days.
