I finished my Quaker Heart pincushion, so I thought I would share a few photos. I worked on this a lot last weekend to get it done before the end of Valentine's Day. I put in the last stitches at the end of the day!
This is what the back looks like. I stitched backstitches around the edges of the hearts and then whipstitched the two sides together. You can't see them very well but there are little white glass beads along the edge--one every other stitch.
You can see the beads a little closer here. I was quite pleased with how this one turned out, though it took me a chunk of Sunday afternoon to do the finishing! I've just barely started my Mystery Sampler, which I will have to share once there is something to actually see. And I'll keep working on my Sampler Farm, too. Unfortunately I didn't get in much reading and pretty much no stitching during the evenings of this past work week. Happy news, though, I am taking a day off on Monday and hope to do lots of reading (which book should I try and finish?) and a little stitching as well!
