This is what I've been working on over my long weekend. Since the Fourth of July falls on a Monday I have an extra day off, which I am lengthening into a four day weekend by taking Tuesday off as well. Bliss. It's too hot out for me, so I'll leave the cookouts and fireworks to those who don't mind such intense sunshine, and stay inside in the air conditioning. I know this looks like a lot of books, but I am well past the midway mark in three of them (four if you count the book I'm reading on my Nook), one is new and I've heard is unputdownable, one is really short, and one I hope to make progress on. I have a few books I need to write about though I'm not sure I'll get to them right away, as I'd prefer to catch up on blog reading and am feeling generally lazy. Otherwise I will be quite content to turn the computer off and relax with my books, maybe do a little needlework and watch a movie or two.
Have a nice weekend and a safe one if you are celebrating the Fourth.
And sorry for the poor quality of the photo. When I moved the books to the sunnier side of the porch the light was a little too bright and everything was cast into shadow. I'm in the market for a new digital camera, so any suggestions are welcome. My HP has been a dutiful little camera, but the battery needs to be replaced (recharging it does little good these days) and it is not performing all that well. I could buy a new battery, but it might be more economical to just buy a newer and more advanced camera instead.
