Not so much undelivered as just delayed! Remember this couple, "Valentine Holiday" by Birds of a Feather? I'm almost finished stitching them and had hoped to at least complete the stitching by today, but it just didn't happen. So I've moved my mental deadline back to finishing by the end of the month. I guess I didn't specify which year (for Valentine's Day that is) that I wanted to finish, but I won't let it languish like my "February Sampler" either.
To keep the happy little couple company, I've started this sampler by Drawn Thread called "B My Valentine". It is a sampler of stitches. Each square is the same size and most of them include specialty stitches, which show off a needleworker's abilities. Two of the top squares are missing stitches as I was waiting for a floss color to arrive in the mail, which I have since received, so I'll be going back and filling in soon. There's no rush to finish this design, though again I don't plan on letting it languish. A square a week maybe? We'll see. I'm looking forward to starting a design with spring in mind and have a couple of charts all ready to go. When I've put in my first stitches I'll share my work here.
An update on comments landing in the spam filter: Typepad is converting to a new third party company to handle spam and hopefully legitimate comments going straight to the spam folder won't be an ongoing problem. They are aware of the issue and have told me that at the moment the only thing to do is go in and retrieve errant comments. If your comment seems to disappear as soon as you hit that comment button don't feel too bad--most of my own replies to comments landed there as well and I had to dig them out Friday morning! :) Nothing like progress and improvements, don't you think?!
Remember to check back later Friday afternoon for another Lost in the Stacks post!
