Okay, so at the moment I am actually busy as a bee reading away (I am 'thisclose' to finishing a book and want to see how things end . . .) so no proper book post today, but as I have been making steady progress on my stitching and have not shared any photos lately, I thought this would be the perfect day to do so.
I've been mostly working here--bee crowns and the bottom border.
And here. The two medallions are nearly finished--flowers in the top and a bird in the lower one.
So, if you'll excuse me I'm going to be busy reading tonight and my regularly scheduled bookishness will continue tomorrow.
One side note. I had been thinking how I might extend my summer reading project to my stitching endeavors and came across this wonderful little Dutch-inspired project. Isn't she lovely (if you search around on that website--scroll down the page a bit--there are also other versions of the same idea)? I really want to buy the supplies to make her, but I need to think about it and the costs. Don't be surprised, though, if I give in to temptation, however. If I don't order the supplies for her, I might be able to find something else that will work, too. I'll be digging through my stitching stash this weekend.
