I am meandering my way slowly through Seven Lives and One Great Love by Lena Divani and read this great quote. I had to share it and I have a feeling you will appreciate it, too. This is what goes through Sugar Zach's mind as he goes exploring his new home--a cat after my own heart:
"First of all, I went about the place scouting. The house would prove more forthcoming than either of my new housemates. I sniffed out every inch of the bedroom: The books had long overflowed from the bookshelves and were scattered in profusion on dressers and on the floor. On her side, especially, a red dresser like a piece of kindergarten furniture was packed with two or three piles of unread books. It was her mini bookshop from which she nightly chose a reading that suited her mood."
Only two or three piles of unread books? The rest must be scattered about surely. I swear Sugar Zach is not my cat, but he could be describing me and my bedroom to a 'T'! This book is a delight. Not to be rushed, which is good as I can't seem to move very quickly through anything these days.
