I'm afraid I didn't finish either of my little Halloween stitching projects. Both are small, especially Mr. Crow there, so I hope to at least finish the stitching. Sometime before next fall that is! I think I am going to have to set these aside temporarily though . . .
. . . because I need to work on this! A little teaser for you. As it is something I am giving to a friend I won't be sharing more of it until it is finished and has found it's way to its new home. If you recognize the designer or motifs, shh, please, I don't want to spoil the surprise. I'll leave it to your imagination what it might be. I started stitching yesterday and think it will work up quickly as I am very much enjoying this one. As there is a little repetition of pattern it has been easy to get into a rhythm when stitching it and I feel like picking it up and working on it (just like reading--that desire to pick up a book and read more and more pages). I have several stitched gifts planned, one other is in progress and one still in the planning stages. Hopefully I am not being too overly ambitious, but keep your fingers crossed for me anyway that I can finish everything on time.
And something for me, too, maybe? As I was looking through patterns and trying to decide what to make for holiday gifts I was admiring these two charts. I think I might make a few of the smaller designs. The samplers are definitely too much to take on now, but the smaller designs might be relaxing to work on. Now I just need to go and pull my floss and measure my linen and then cut and start stitching.
Something to work on while the wind howls outside. And the wind is howling and boy has it turned cold. Perfect 'stay in the house somewhere cozy' weather. So I shall be sitting in my comfy rocker with a cup of hot chocolate near at hand and a stitching project (or book!) to keep me entertained.
If I need a break from holiday stitching, I already have another design in mind to work on next . . . I'll be sharing updates (of my non-gift stitching) very soon, I hope!
