Keep up the good work and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I'll have 5 extra people in my house from Wednesday through Sunday (including my almost 3 year old grandson) so there won't be much reading going on around here! But I love having them here so that's okay with me. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and I'll look forward to more book reviews later.

Every little bit of progress counts, I think, even if it is different from what you had imagined. I have only one more chapter of the novel I'm still reading (Elisabeth Berg) so finishing five books before the end of the year might be a bit optimistic too.
Wishing you lovely days off.

Have a nice break and Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you get in lots and lots of reading!

Have a good break, good reading and Happy Thanksgiving!

You, too! I hope you have a lovely holiday and that it includes some quiet reading time as well!

You are going to be busy! But busy in a good way. And there are definitely times when lots of people and family are most welcome. Have a really great holiday and enjoy your time with your family!

Oh well, I always think big and then have to revise plans, and that is definitely okay--as long as I am spending time with good books. I read a lot of Elizabeth Berg's work when I was younger and have thought of going back and revisiting it. Are you enjoying the book you are reading? Will you move on to another unfinished book or will you be like me and begin contemplating which new book you can pick up next?! ;)

Thanks and I hope you have a great break, too! Enjoy those enchiladas and pumpkin pie! Yum! :)

Thanks very much and I hope you have a safe and happy holiday, too!

In the meantime I finished The Pull of the Moon and a small volume of poetry by a Flemish poet. Instead of considering a new book (There was a Terry Pratchett beckoning me...) I have added another half read to my small stack, which thus still counts four now. I am so disciplined ;)

Yay for discipline! My reading has been slow but on target for what I had wanted to do this weekend. Which Terry Prachett? He is someone I would like to read some time. I have been trying very hard to resist starting a new book myself but I think I might not be able to hold out much longer. I hope the sun is shining where you are. It has not made an appearance here for far too long! :(

I didn't know that you, too, are reading Fall of Giants. I wanted a historical that I could sink my teeth into. I've read up to page 179, and though there's a long way to go, and though I'm tempted by scads of other books, I will keep going with diversions into other books from time to time. It holds my interest and keeps me enthralled.

I read a lot, and I see you do what I do, which is to read several books at a time. I don't set up reading goals; I just read as I please. I am cheering you on to reach your goals.

I really need to get back to Fall of Giants, too! I am not sure where I left off--sometime in August 1914 I think. I was enjoying it, just got sidetracked by other books. It is a good story, though, and very easy to fall into!

My goals tend to be pretty loosey goosey to be honest. I just want to try and get the current reads pile under some sort of control before the end of the year. It is nice to tidy things a bit before a new year begins--of course a month in and it will look much the same as is does now, only with a different stack of books! ;) I have to have variety however--I like picking up books that suit whatever mood I happen to be in!
