The title of my post is both literal and figurative. I can only say, 'ugh' to both of them. Here it is now officially Spring and I am still working on "Winter". I had such high hopes of having the winter season design finished, but I am getting closer. As we are forecast to get 'measurable' snow mid-week, maybe it doesn't matter since it is going to feel like winter and maybe soon look like winter soon enough.
Oh well, I've had to backtrack here anyway, too. Can you tell I stitched a row and then had to pick those stitches out again. Of course, no one would even have noticed it (except me), but the broom the snowman was holding was stitched two threads too close to the snowman, so I felt compelled to try and fix it.
But I have two new bunnies and am just about to add a few more redbirds. And then to fill in with the rest of the snow (maybe I'll save those bits for midweek and then I can stitch the snow while watching it outside my window!). And then I will nearly be finished--there will be a few little details to finish and a little backstitching/outlining and then it will finally be time to begin "Spring". I will, in any case, be pulling out linen and making sure my colors are ready, and maybe I will even put in those first few stitches so I have something new to share next time!
