A new month and a really new prompt. I was not all that thrilled with the prompt I chose last December so I decided to switch things up again. Thanks to Readerlane for giving me some new ideas, and from there my November prompt has morphed into: "I Couldn't Wait to Read"--which is what happens to me so often. I get so excited about forthcoming books that I have to have them the minute they come out. And then so much later I shake my head to myself as those same exact books sit on my TBR almost untouched and certainly unread.
So this month I have grabbed a few (?!) and will choose one. A book I was so excited to have and now it will finally get its day!
The Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata
Daphne by Justine Picardie (wow this one came out ages ago)
Sweet Caress by William Boyd (this is very cool as it has B&W photos interspersed with text)
The Widows of Malabar Hill by Sujata Massey
Sunburn by Laura Lippman
The Photographer's Wife by Suzanne Joinson
Circe by Madeline Miller
I always get so mad at myself when I buy a book in cloth and then don't read it before it comes out in paperback. I have no self control when it comes to books. The easy part is making the stack of books to choose from. Now the hard part, just choosing one to read now.
Is it bad to say, or too soon to say, I am already thinking of next year's prompts? I am not rushing the year away--it is doing that all on its own!
